First Treat

Liv had her first popsicle. Of course, it was me who gave it to her. Although if Grandpa Randy was here, it would have been him. She kept grabbing it and got it all over herself. She has a sweet tooth just like her mom.

Clean Up Time

The kids ended up painting their bodies, rather than the paper. So-they got hosed down outside after all the fun was over. It is a good thing I made them strip down to their undies before they started painting.

Finger Painting

We were a little bored today so we tried finger painting. What a mess, but the kids had fun!

My Little Angels

Rolling Over

Olivia has finally done it. She is rolling over from front to back and back to front. I forgot how easy it was when she didn't move much, but now I can't leave her anywhere. I left her for a minute on the floor in the hallway and I came back to her screaming with her face smashed against the door. Ooops!

The Typical Day at the Reese's

So, this is how my morning started out. First, Ethan came running upstairs saying that Cole needed a spanking and was in big trouble. When I went downstairs this is what I found.

Cole had discovered the powdered sugar and ripped the bag open all over the floor. Not only was it in this area, but all around the kitchen as he tried to run away from me. I washed my rugs, but they still aren't the same and I mopped the floor 4 times and it is still a little sticky.

The rest of the day the boys decided to empty my pantry all over the floor for a game of bowling with the cans, tear the flowers off my bushes, throw rocks at the windows, drown the bathroom during tub time and somehow my duster and kitchen utenstils found there way into the toliet!!! To finish the night off the boys were fighting before bed and Cole threw a toy at Ethan and split his lip open. Just another day at the Reese house!

Reptiles at the Park

We found some reptiles at the park. Ethan liked the lizard.

But, Cole had a thing for this big snake. It looks like he is talking to the snake. Saying "Please don't eat me."

I think Ethan is trying to bite the snake.

Cole and more water fun (kind of)

After Cole's run in with the water he spent the rest of the afternoon by the side as you can see from the pictures. But he thought that was just fine.

Once I got him to go into the middle when the water was stopped. But that didn't last long-just enough to take one quick picture.

Ethan thought he was hillarious when he would stick his face in the water. A few times the water got the best of him and it went up his nose. He didn't like that.

Water Park

Today we went to a fun water park down the street. A lot of the parks here have fun water features for the kids to cool down in. The kids had a blast!

When we first got to the park the boys were really excited. The water was off for a minute and the kids ran straight in. Cole thought it was great until a few seconds later the water turned on. He immediately started running out screaming. As you can tell from the picture below this is him dashing out of the water. It was really funny-he is pretty fast. For the rest of the afternoon he wouldn't go back in.

Swing Time

I know what you are thinking.....isn't he too big for that swing. Yes, he totally is but for some reason he will not stay out of the swing. He enjoys it more than the baby. I can't believe it hasn't fallen apart because Cole really gets swinging.

New Backyard

Our organized pile of rocks is complete. This is what they call a backyard in Las Vegas. I kind of miss the grass, but it will just die here so this will have to do. All the worker men came this morning and finished the backyard. It looks nice, but I am not sure how long it will last. Ethan already came in bringing me a flower (how sweet) that he pulled off the bush.

This is our cute Livy posing for the camera. She is starting to laugh and chuckle so cute.

Pool Time

We figured that since we live in the desert we should at least get a pool. So, we found a great little pirate ship. Actually it is not really that little. I think it took me all afternoon to get it blown up. Yes, I blew the entire thing up (Shawn helped a little). As you can tell by the pictures it was a lot to blow up and I was exhausted when we were finished. The kids have had so much fun-they think they are really pirates and are a little destructive. I hope the pool (and my kids) survive this hot summer in Vegas.

Backyard Fun

We are currently in the process of turning the dirt and rock pile in our backyard into an organized rock pile. The desert landscaping for yards here isn't much more than that. We just had a big cement patio put in and the kids have had fun, but what they really enjoy is the dirt. They hunt for all kinds of treasures and gold, but mostly we usually find old nails left behind from the construction workers. As you can tell from the pictures Cole enjoys eating the rocks-at least sometimes! And of course I bought the boys some great little shovels and outside toys, but they prefer my kitchen spoons and spatulas.
