We are just a few short days away from my oldest child's birthday.  I can't believe I have a 7 year old.

Free Icecream

Those that know me understand how much I love ice cream, so when a free ice cream day comes around I definetly don't miss it.  Today was free ice cream day at Golden Spoon.  So after spending the day in the hot sun doing this.......

Liv and I get to spend a lot of time together while the boys are at school.  She is my best helper and always says "take a picture of me."  So, she has lots of pictures, but I think that is good.

Soccer Season

Soccer season is upon us.  It consumes all our time, 2-3 nights a week at practice and games all day Saturday.  Coles team is the Sharks!!

Here I am showing off my mad skills to Ethan.  I am pretty sure that this is right before I fell on my face.

Ethan must have been embarassed because he didn't want to play with me anymore so it was Dad's turn.

Ethan is number 8, which is cool because Shawn and I were both number 8 during our soccers years.  I guess the number 8 has a special meaning for us.  Ethan's team name is the Yellow Dragoons.

I love this picture of the beautiful spring blossoms.  I was sure they didn't exist in Las Vegas, but I found some!!

Excited

We are EXCITED!!!

We found a great rental home in Wisconsin.  This home is so cute and full of victorian charm and personality.  The kids have already claimed certain rooms, and I can't wait to get all my stuff moved in.  We have a great yard, with grass, and it even comes with a nice hot tub.  I feel spoiled.

The Elementary School is right across the street.  I can't wait to sit on my front porch swing watching my boys walk to and from school every day.  And the hospital where Shawn will be working is just a few blocks behind our house.  Shawn could walk every day to work (but I am pretty sure he won't).

And some more exciting news...
Liv's ears are finally pierced.  Remember our bad experience on Saturday (tears and tantrums), tonight was round number two!!!  She was so brave and adorable.  There was about 15 people in the store and they all stopped to watch.  Here are the results...

Liv is so proud of her new earings.  She has to show them to me every five minutes and wanted me to take pictures to show all her friends and cousins.

Birthday, Almost Earings, and a Track Meet

Three years ago today my baby girlwas born.  She was such a cute little chubby thing!

but, man we love her!

Liv has been talking for a while about getting her ears pierced.  She plays with my earings all the time and  said she wanted to get hers pierced.  So for her birthday we took her to the store and she was sooo excited.  She climbed up in the chair all by herself smiling.  When the lady took out a marker to draw a dot on her ear the smiles were immediately gone.  After tears, bribes, tantrums, and even some wrestling holds Liv left the store with no holes in her ears.  I guess we will try again next year.

So we came home and had some cake and ice cream.  That made everyone feel better.

We also spent the morning at our Stake Track Meet.  It was so fun and the kids got to run in lots of races.  Ethan and I got to run together in a relay race which was fun.  Ethan took first in his heat, and I took second (I was a little disappointed with my aging body, it just wouldn't go as fast as I wanted), and our team took 3rd.  Cole was supposed to participate in the long jump, but after a disappointing finish (tantrum) during his 100m race, he wouldn't do it.

Overall it was a fun and busy day.  I'm tired, so here is hoping for a nice peaceful Sunday.
