Utah Easter

The kids and I spent the past nine days in Utah.  One last trip before we head out to Milwaukee.  By the time Easter was over the kids participated in 4 easter egg hunts, ate lots of candy, watched lots of soccer games, played with cousins and friends, played with the new puppy, celebrated birthdays, and we even woke up to a beautiful spring morning covered in snow.  Here a some random pictures from the past few days.

My brothers cute puppy, Milo, was a hit with my kids.  I just might end up being a dog owner sooner than I thought.

This picture makes me laugh. During this week home we brought a nasty cough with us.  This is COle and Liv mid cough, but it was the best picture I could get :)

Almost 3

At times I wasn't sure we would survive Liv being 2, but her birthday is coming up and she is still alive.  She really does look rather sweet and innocent, but she is crazy!!

I have videos of when I was a child and recently (in my attempt to get organized for packing AGAIN) I came across these videos.  I laughed and was so embarrassed when I watched them because really I was such a dork :)  I rave about my florescent fingernail polish and Milli Vanilli tapes.  Watching the old tapes made me want to record my kids more often so that when they are adults they can look back and laugh.  So, I am going to be making more videos, and to start all of my kids have birthdays coming up so I wanted to do a birthday video for each kid of some of their favorite things.  Since Liv's birthday is first here is her 3 year video.  Hopefully I can continue to add later, but this is what we got this morning.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday was the first Easter Egg Hunt of the season and Ward annual Breakfast. Liv wasn't sure at first about the eggs and was very selective in choosing only the pink ones. Cole and Ethan caught on quickly and scored lots of eggs.  We are currently munching on the treasures hidden in the eggs.

If you look close enough in the picture below you can see the thousands of easter eggs.  There were eggs everywhere!!

Track Break

Ethan's off track from school, so we haven't been doing much.  While Shawn gets up by 5 every morning we are busy sleeping in, eating breakfast at 10, playing the Wii all day, and stuff like that.  Sometimes I even say in my jammies until right before Shawn comes home :)  I know, my job is hard work sometimes.

Just a few pictures to show you how seriously we take our computers, even Liv loves to play :)  

Sick Little Girl

Liv decided to visit me at 2am last night.

She claimed she wasn't tired.

Shawn was gone working so I told her to come snuggle with me.

I was tired, she wanted to watch a movie.

I started Sleeping Beauty at 2:30am.

3:00am Liv pukes, all over me and my bed.

3:30am Liv pukes

4:00am Liv pukes

4:30am, 5:00am, 5:30am

etc., etc.,

I spent the day nursing this sweet little thing back to her spunky self.

Ethan's turn

My kids hate it when someone gets more attention than the other.  Everything has to be fair!!  Fair is a relative term in our house, but I do my best to make everyone happy.  So, since I shared some of Cole's funny comments, I need to be fair and share some of Ethan's.  So here are two of Ethan's memorable comments.

"Mom, what does pimping mean?"

Very proud moments for me.  Ethan learned these wonderful words from school.  Have I mentioned how much I love Clark County School District?  Hopefully Las Vegas does not get the best of us before we leave.

Man Stuff

Cole recently started asking every morning if he could use the "man stuff."  I wasn't sure what he meant for a while, but then he showed me. He was referring to Shawn's cologne.  A while ago I found the best cologne for Shawn.  He's not much of a cologne person, but occasionally he likes it and I wanted to find something besides that Calvin Klein stuff he's had since high school.

This morning getting ready for church Cole said,

Cole:  "I want some man stuff today."  

Mom:  "No"

Cole: "But I don't want to smell like a plain old kid today.  I want to smell like a man."  

So, Cole got his wish this morning and he smelt like a man :)

My Little Diva

Liv is such a little diva.  She has a very unique sense of style and insists every day to choose her own clothes, and change them about 6 or 7 times.  We usually start with one outfit for breakfast and before lunch we have already had one wardrobe change, if not two.  Between lunch and dinner tends to be the busiest time for her creative clothing and we get anywhere from 3-5 changes.  After dinner she likes to run naked, and then I have to force her into her jammies.  If she could, I think she might run naked all day.  It is fun to see what combinations of clothes she puts together, but finding her clothes all over the house is not so fun.

Today this was her third outfit of the day, and it is just an old hand-me-down slip.  What you can't see is that she had on stripped pink socks and red shoes.  Her hair is another story all together.  She likes it wild and free, but it really needs some taming.  She insists to do it herself, so I let her.  Mostly for my own amusement :)  Is she really a little Diva or are all two year old little girls this way???

Also, for those of you interested, I will only be doing photoshoots in Las Vegas until the end of May.  That doesn't leave too much time left, and I have already booked up a few of the weekends.  So if you want to schedule one before we leave send me an email.  I will also be in Utah from March 27th -April 3rd if any of my Utah friends want pictures.

Spicing things up a bit :)

My blog has become a little boring. (On an exciting note I just printed my blog from last year and it makes me so happy that I blog. For the past three years I have printed a yearly book from my blog and without too much effort I have an instant scrapbook. I love it!) Here is my attempt to spice things up a little.
